IGNOU announces admission for its online programmes


New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announces admission for its two online programmes, namely, Appreciation Programme on Sustainable Management of Wetlands (APSMW) and Appreciation Programme on Sustainablity Science (APSS). The last date for submission of application form is 30th March, 2012.

Candidates who are graduate in any discipline or its equivalent from any recognised University are eligible for the programme. However, preference will be given to post-graduate scholars, scientists and policymakers working in the areas of agriculture, rural development, environmental science and sustainable development.

Registration forms for these courses are specially devised with the facility of uploading scanned certificates, other required documents and photograph. The registration will be confirmed only after verification of the certificates and payment of the required admission fee.

Once the learners register themselves, they will have an access to the personalized learning space (My Page). This page includes self instructional material, self check exercises, related audio/video, slides, etc. weaved in one platform.

Web cast-based counseling integrated with text-based chatting facility is used for counseling purposes. Templates are made available for synopsis submission, project uploading and evaluation. Viva voce will be conducted through web based video conferencing tool.
