Angry Birds Space hits 10 million downloads

London: The latest version of the Angry Birds game, ‘Angry Birds Space’, has notched up ten million download since it launched at the end of last week.

Angry Birds Space takes the familiar bird-throwing formula in a bid to kill pigs, and puts it into the setting of outer space.

The latest version includes new features such as gravitational fields and news birds – such as the Space Eagle.

According to The Telegraph, the game is available on Apple’s iOS, Android, Mac and PC and is either free (supported by advertising) or paid for, depending on the platform.

The launch of the space version came in the same week the parent company, Rovio, announced the first Angry Birds ‘activity park’ will launch next month in Finland, country where the firm belongs to.

The popular mobile and web game is now being turned into activity parks around the world in a bid to help children have fun while exercising.
