Union Minster of Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal today inaugurated an exhibition “Water Expo 2012” at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The exhibition showcases a wide range of water technologies and facilities for development and management of water resources. The exhibition is a key feature of the India Water Week celebrations which started today and are being organized by the Ministry of Water Resources.
Exhibitors from the field of irrigation, hydropower, water harvesting, water storage reservoirs, water purification, desalination plants, water testing equipments, pumps and filters etc. are showcasing their products at the exhibition. The exhibition has shown participation from governmental as well as private sector organizations. Some social service oriented non-governmental organizations are also participating in it. The exhibits consists of a range of products and displays aimed at tackling the complex problem of reducing water scarcity and providing a solution driven approach for the stakeholders.
