The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following appointments:
(i) Shri Pradeep Kumar Deb, IAS (RJ:77), presently in the cadre, as Secretary, Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, in the vacancy of Ms. Sindhushree Khullar, IAS(UT:75);
(ii) Ms. Nita Chawdhury, IAS(UP:77), presently in the cadre, as Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in the vacancy of Shri A.K. Upadhayay, IAS(BH:75)
The ACC also approved the extension in service of Shri R.Gopalan, IAS (TN:76), Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for a period of three months beyond his date of superannuation, ie., 30.4.2012.
