Firozabad: Thousands of students from more than 25 schools and a large number of activists Wednesday formed a seven-km-long human chain in this Uttar Pradesh city against pollution.
Praveen Agarwal, an organiser, told the sources, "The collective anger and frustration of the younger generation against pollution of streams, ponds and deforestation was vented through the human chain which drew cheers and support from the citizens of Firozabad."
Children carried placards and displayed banners with catchy slogans, he said. IANS
