The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region Shri Paban Singh Ghatowar has said that the North East India has a rich cultural and tribal heritage. Addressing a gathering in Panchkula, Haryana on the occasion of Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Zonal Cultural Centres (ZCCs), he said, each tribe in the North East has its own culture, dress, food and language and reflects diverse socio-cultural life of the region. Complementing the Zonal Cultural Centres for successfully completing twenty five years of their existence Shri Ghatowar hoped that these centres would continue to act as a platform for showcasing the diverse and vibrant culture of the country.
