announced that the All India Engineering Entrance test (AIEEE) 2011
that had been delayed by two hours due to the question paper being
leaked will be conducted again on May 11, 2011 for candidates who had
been unable to appear for the paper after its delay.
The examination will be conducted on May 11 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
in 38 cities.
In an official notification on Tuesday, the CBSE said that the
examination will be conducted only for those candidates who could not
appear for the rescheduled paper on May 1.
It further added that the candidature of all candidates who had
appeared for the AIEEE on Sunday and who register for the rescheduled
examination will be canceled.
Candidates who could not appear for the delayed AIEEE on Sunday
because the exam centre where they were to appear was an Armed Forces
Medical College (AFMC) Entrance Test centre also and the centre could
not conduct the delayed AIEEE will be allowed to give the test on May
11.
For such candidates, the city, centres and the roll numbers for the
test will all remain the same.
For candidates who had been unable to give the delayed AIEEE because
they had to appear for the AFMC test at a different centre will be
required to register online on the CBSE website for appearing in the
re-scheduled AIEEE. The roll numbers of such candidates will also
remain the same.
Certain candidates had been unable to appear for the AIEEE when it had
been delayed by two hours due to administrative reasons. These
candidates too will be required to register online on CBSE's website
for appearing for the rescheduled test on May 11 and their roll
numbers will remain the same.
Candidates who had applied for the online mode of the AIEEE but had
been unable to appear for the delayed test because of AFMC examination
at a different centre would also have to register online on the CBSE
website. The roll numbers of these candidates will remain the same.
However, they will have to give the test in the paper-pen format.
The last date for candidates to register their names for reappearing
in the rescheduled AIEEE on May 11 is May 5. Candidates will be able
to download their admit cards from the CBSE website from May 9.
